Our Values

Sheridan Wesleyan Church has six core values in which we desire to be known by our community and the world:

• Responsive:    We want to be sensitive to the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of Sheridan and the surrounding communities and respond pro-actively by building relationships with un-churched people.

• Relevant:    We believe God's word speaks to the issues of everyday life. Therefore, our goal is to teach Biblical truths in an atmosphere of expectation and excitement. 

• Rejoicing:    We want our worship services to be times of celebration. We believe it is healthy and biblical to celebrate what God has done and continues to do in our lives. Many art forms can and will be used to accomplish this goal.

• Relational:    We want to be a warm, non-judgmental group of people that accepts others where they are, fully encouraging them to become all God intends for them to be. We strive to provide avenues where life-changing relationships can be built.

• Reproductive:    We want to lead others in the steps toward Christian maturity so that they may reproduce their relationship with God in others.

• Releasing:    We believe that God has gifted every Christian with specific ministry abilities. We strive to help people discover and develop their individual spiritual gifts and talents.
